Look Who's Getting Married

Look Who's Getting Married

In all the planning for the "Big Day," the issue of packing and moving gets lost in the excitement.

You are melding two homes into one, so what could possibly be the problem. Two words "Closet Space."

Next to the discussion of money and how to spend it will be, "Why do you need all these clothes and shoes?” Your fiancée must be forgiven for this paux pas.

You wear 20% of your clothes 80% of the time. Go to your closet and remove the items you wear the most frequently. Include shoes and handbags that you use the most often. These are things you can keep. Then go through what is remaining one piece of clothing at a time. Look at it from the color and style viewpoint. Is it outdated; does the color look well on you?

If you did not wear it in the last appropriate season then get rid of it. If the article has needed mending for over three months get rid of it.  Do not save clothing that is too small or too large for you.  You are wasting closet space and will have less trouble finding the things you need. Your clothes will remain neater on the hangers if you are not crowding them for space.

Ask yourself how many particular articles of a clothing type you need. Do you need more than four pairs of jeans? That is why we have washers and dryers, they call it doing laundry. You only need enough casual clothing to get you through two weeks at a time. Then you really have to do the laundry.

If you have business attire you must wear, keep no more than fifteen sets of attire. No one else in your office is really going to notice that you rotate your clothing every three-business weeks. If you have business attire that is outdated and not worn, get rid of it.

Do not keep items you would wear if you had “just the right occasion.” Do not buy anything while thinking it would be great for a "special occasion.” That special occasion is not coming your way unless you want to hold it yourself.

This is the perfect time to make a decision about your undergarments. If you want, feminine frilly panties and bras then wear them everyday. Believe me your husband will like it. Do not save them for special occasions that may never come. Dress under your clothes the way you would want to be found if you are in an accident and they take you to the emergency room. Give the staff something to talk about, become a legend. Depending how often you do your laundry determines how many sets of underwear and bras you need to keep in your drawer.

Each time you buy a new article of clothing you must get rid of one from your closet.

You may donate clothing only if it is in good condition. That means it does not need any repair work. Charities are not going to send clothing out to be mended so they can sell it. If your discarded clothing needs repairs or is very worn it belongs in the trash.

The good thing about starting married life with less clothing and shoes is your husband may want to take you shopping for more.

My last piece of advice is when it comes to arguing remember, you can be right or you can be happy, but you cannot be both. Ask yourself how important it is to be right.

Lastly, "less stuff equals more money."

How You Can Plan the Perfect Eco-Friendly Wedding

How You Can Plan the Perfect Eco-Friendly Wedding

Weddings, in general, leave a huge carbon footprint due to the fuel used to transport guests, energy used to create the food, waste left behind afterwards, etc. However, more and more people have become motivated to improve our planet, which has influenced many people, businesses and entire industries to incorporate more environmentally friendly products and services into their daily operations. This eco-friendly movement has even trickled down to weddings with many couples choosing to go a more “green” route for their special day.  If you, too, want to decrease your wedding’s carbon footprint, here’s how you can plan the perfect eco-friendly wedding.

Invitations

Sending out hundreds of paper invitations is not conducive to saving the environment, so instead of paper use either recycled paper, hemp or forego environmental wastes altogether with email invitations. Don’t worry about what your guests will think; the environment is more important than a few etiquette elitists and most of your guests will likely be appreciative of your earth friendly gesture.

Location and Transportation

Having your wedding outside is the perfect way to show your support for the environment, but make sure you don’t leave behind any trash or harmful materials that would be counterproductive to your green efforts. If you don’t want to have an outdoor wedding but still want a green wedding, there are venues available that make a huge effort to save water, energy, reduce waste and offer organic meal options. Search around for the perfect venue and make sure to ask about their sustainability efforts. As for transportation, which has the most environmental impact, you should try to limit long distance travel, encourages walking by having the wedding in the same location as the reception and the hotel.

The Catering

The food is one of the most important parts of the celebration, so making sure your menu tastes good, in addition to being eco-friendly, is crucial to the overall success of your wedding. If you are concerned about the cost of going completely organic, then search locally to save on the cost of shipping, storing, etc. Plus, you will be helping out the local community in the process. Find a caterer that specializes in organic meals, recycles used materials, and utilizes china instead of paper plates. You should also ask if your caterer can help you donate the leftovers to food shelters or other organizations so you can reduce waste and help others simultaneously.

Decoration and flowers

Candles and bamboo are perfect decorative items that will make your wedding look sleek and romantic while sticking to the green theme. When searching for flowers, consider potted arrangements as an alternative to cut flowers- they can decrease waste and double up as a wedding favor. For the bouquet, try to find organically grown flowers and order from a local business so you save fuel on transportation. Although it may take a little extra effort, all of your hard work will ensure the most beautiful, eco-friendly wedding that will inspire others to do their part to help the environment.

Top 10 Tips to Hold a Unique Wedding

To have a romantic wedding is expected by every girl. Fortunately, it isn’t difficult to achieve this nowadays. Except finding the really desirable wedding dress, consider the wedding theme please. Without breaking the wallet, you can also hold a memorable nuptial. Here are definitely some unique wedding ideas.

Top 1: animate the red carpet.

1

Bring life and color to the red carpet. Perfuse yellow leaves onto the carpet. When you walk on it, you will feel like walking on a road to autumn where leaves float.

Top 2: show your names.

A chic & exquisite wedding logo is a must-have item for a romantic wedding. But except this, have you ever thought of letting your name to be seen everywhere? You can write your names on the menu. Or show your name via the projector. Sure, it’s also a great idea to write your names on the cake. Even, you can sew your name onto your wedding gown.

Top 3: name the desks by place names or flower names, rather than numbers.

3

Since you want to make your wedding more special, simple number will feel a little monotonous. If you always travel, you can name these desks by place names. Or, names for flowers sound great here. For example, the desk for your parents can be named by carnation, which means family love and warmness.

Top 4: design a time capsule.

Invite guests to forecast your future. For example, give each of them a capsule (the style can be designed by yourself) and invite them to write down their answers to questions like how many children you will have. How weighty will the groom be after five years? Open the capsule five years later. This will be meaningful. And also, guests will have more fun in this case.

Top 5: take your puppy to your big day.

5

A delicate archway will be designed. But this time, instead of carrying good-looking flowers, you are suggested to carry your puppy. Probably, it’s your companion when you were single. Why not let it share your joy on your memorable date? Just put on white gardenia garland for it.

Top 6: only wear your wedding gown.

Brides tend to wear two or three dresses during the wedding. So, you will need to leave your guests aside for a while. To avoid this, you are recommended to choose a trailing wedding dress, which can be dismantled easily. So, when the train is removed, the dress will be a great evening dress.

Top 7: design the seating card.

7

Like naming the desk, to design your seating cards can also make your wedding feel more special. You can spell your guests’ names by brightly colored fruits. Or, you can make seating cards by group photos with the guests. If you tend to hold the wedding by the sea, use shell to make these cards.

Top 8: ask your guests to bring pictures taken with you.

Set a display board at the sign-in desk and show pictures taken with your friends there. Remember to return your friends pictures after the ceremony.

Top 9: choose a special venue.

9

Modern girls do look forward to some distinctive wedding venues. So, how about holding it in an amusement park? Just image this: take the roller coaster while wearing your wedding gown? It will be crazily exciting to feel the veil is blown up. If you love animals, why not hold your wedding in a zoo?

Top 10: go back to the origin.

This may count for little about making your wedding unique. But believe it or not, it’s meaningful. While choosing the place to hold the wedding or take the honeymoon, why not go back to the place your grandparents held their nuptial or the place where your parents meet?
